1. Information Collection
The privacy of our users is fundamental. This policy describes what personal data is collected by Nexmeet and how it is securely stored and processed.
When registering on Nexmeet, we collect and store the following information:
1.1. Data Provided by the User
- Registration Data: Full name, verified email address, encrypted password, and optional profile picture.
- Availability Data: The specific blocks of hours and days that you voluntarily mark as "free" on the app's calendar.
1.2. Data Collected Automatically
- Geolocation: We collect the approximate GPS location of your mobile device only when the app is in use, with your explicit consent. This data is essential to find and list nearby partner restaurants or bars for group voting.
- Device Information: Mobile device model, operating system version (iOS or Android), and technical stability identifiers for crash reporting.
2. How We Use Your Information
We ensure that your data is processed for specific and ethical purposes. We use your information to:
- Identify common time slots in groups you created or joined, calculating compatibility rates automatically.
- Present personalized recommendations of venues (bars, pizzerias, diners) for meetings based on your current location.
- Provide discount coupons from local merchants relevant to the size and location of the group of friends.
- Display consolidated statistical reports for partner merchants (e.g., total groups that voted for their bar), guaranteeing the absolute anonymity of individual users. No email or personal name of a final customer is shared with merchants without explicit authorization.
3. Data Sharing
Nexmeet does not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
Your availability data (free hours) and username are visible only to friends who participate in the same meet group created in the app. Your hours marked as busy or external appointments are not sent or displayed to anyone.
We operate our database and server infrastructure using the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud, located in data centers that comply with the most stringent digital security standards.
4. Data Security and Retention
We employ end-to-end encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS protocol) and encryption at rest in databases to protect your information from unauthorized access or leaks.
Your data remains stored as long as your account is active in our system. If you choose to delete your profile, all your registration and availability data will be permanently deleted from our active databases within a maximum period of 15 calendar days.
5. Your Rights
In compliance with applicable data protection laws, Nexmeet ensures that the user can exercise the following rights at any time:
- Access, update, or correct your registration data.
- Revoke authorization to read geolocation through the permissions menu of your phone's operating system.
- Request portability or complete deletion of your account.
To exercise these rights, the user can access the "My Profile" area in the app or send a formal request to our data protection officer at the email provided in the contact section.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
On our landing page and web platform, we use essential temporary technical cookies to keep users logged into their merchant accounts and third-party analytics tools to track general access statistics. You can configure your browser to block cookies, although this may affect some navigation functions.
7. Contact and Data Protection Officer (DPO)
If you have questions, complaints, or wish to exercise your rights, please contact our officer directly at the official email: contato@nexagil.com.
